Completely re-designed in 2007, the Kawasaki ZX-6R was lighter, smaller, faster and sharper than ever before, it s no wonder that for 2008 the ZX-6R is virtually unchanged. In 2007 the ZX-6R M-5 V.A.L.E Slip-on became one of the best selling exhaust systems and has become the benchmark for performance, fit, sound and looks in the aftermarket exhaust business. The M-5 slip-on is 11 (that s right ELEVEN) pounds lighter than stock, and produces more HP and torque throughout the powerband. Not only does the system save a bunch of weight and add significant HP, it also comes complete with an integrated LED tail / running light, fender eliminator kit. The easy to install fender eliminator is a complete “plug in assembly and includes the exclusive plug-in wire harness that easily plugs into the existing wire harness (no cut cutting, or splicing wires). The entire assembly can also be quickly “unplugged and removed for track days. CARBON FIBER: Two Brothers has been using Carbon Fiber in motorcycle mufflers since 1992. They are currently the only US Company to exclusively use Filament Wound Carbon Fiber (FWCF) on every carbon fiber muffler they sell. They draw on only the best high temperature resins, and control a proprietary lining system adopted from spacecraft, for additional heat resistance. The FWCF is continuously wound over a precision machined mandrel for a 100% seamless bond. The FWCF tube is then cured in a high temperature autoclave oven for superior strength and heat resistance. These crucial elements meld to form a precision lightweight muffler that will perform as well as it looks. TITANIUM: By weight titanium is one of the world s strongest readily available metals, making it ideal for the M series mufflers. It is 45% lighter than steel with comparable strength, and twice as strong as aluminum while being only 60% heavier. That s right titanium is HEAVIER than aluminum, but since it is twice as strong it is able to use a very thin (.024 ) material to construct the Titanium muffler. The result is a muffler that is about 8.3oz. lighter than the M series aluminum mufflers. Titanium has become an industry standard for motorcycle mufflers due to its durability, corrosion resistance, lightweight, and factory look. FULL SYSTEMS: These systems completely replace the existing OEM exhaust system. This not only adds horsepower but also can drop significant weight from the bike. Two Brothers builds their header systems as a complete unit. The finished system flows better at the collectors which makes more power and does not vibrate on the bike.
