Bobster® Photochromic lenses are available in a variety of eyewear styles and are lenses that are precision designed to automatically adjust to the amount of ultraviolet light (UV) that reaches the lens. The advantage of a photochromic lens is that you can wear your eyewear from morning into evening and not have to carry multiple sets of eyewear with you or change your lenses throughout the day. Bobster® offers a wide range of eyewear with photochromic lenses with varying transmission rates. Transmission rate is the amount of visible light penetrating the lens and reaching the eyes. The lower the transmission rate the lighter the lens color. Clear lenses have a transmission rate between 80-100% and typical smoked lenses have a transmission rate between 8-18%.
